Refresh properties "forgets" reporting mapping
« on: August 14, 2008, 01:02:42 PM »

When the scheduler runs our jobs (which are set to refresh before publish), it is forgetting what the correct "Reports To:" field is supposed to be.

Thank you for contacting the OrgPlus Support Team.

It's possible OrgPlus is seeing the facsimileTelephoneNumber as an employee id number and is trying to automatically set the refresh properties to the best setting. If you go to Data>Define Fields in OrgPlus ensure that the facsimileTelephoneNumber field category is set to Phone Number, rather than General. This should help the application determine that the facsimileTelephoneNumber field is not neccessary for the hierarchy.

If you have any further questions feel free to contact us at op.support@orgplus.com.

Thanks, I have verified that the fax number is identified as a phone number, not general.  Anything else I can check?

Thank you for contacting the OrgPlus Support Team.

The next best step would be to verify the refresh properties work with a diffrent type of data source. You can export your current data from excel, create a new chart from that file and try refreshing its data. To export data from OrgPlus please follow the steps below:

1. Select Define Fields from the Data menu.
2. Choose Export Data
3. In the new window that opens select the Add All button to include all fields.
4. In the Include section, ensure Reporting Relationship is checked and that the Based On menu is set to the proper field.
5. In the Export What section ensure Entire Chart is selected.
6. Select Export.
7. Give the exported excel file a name and select Save.

You can then import that excel file and try refreshing that chart.

If you have any further questions feel free to contact us at op.support@orgplus.com.

Sincerely,
