Multi-Record Box forming when applying chart style
« on: March 28, 2008, 12:33:58 PM »

Hi,

I'm having problems when i'm applying chart styles 2 different Multi-record boxes.
There are 2 Multi-record boxes, 1 with 4 employees with the same title, and another box with 4 employees with the same title except that it begins with 'Senior'.

I select the 2 boxes and apply the 'One Column' chart style, and it combines them into 1 multi-record box with 1 title, which is incorrect as there are seniors in there.

Is there a way i can apply the 'one column' chart style and not combine the boxes, having them on top of each other?

Thanks,
David.

Thank you for contacting the OrgPlus Support Team.

When a chart in OrgPlus has multi-record boxes the application does not seperate the boxes based on their title. How this affects the chart is, if two multi-record boxes are placed in the same chart style OrgPlus sees all the records as part of a multi-record box and combines them. To avoid this you can place one multi-record box in the Assistant 1 chart style and the other in the One Column style.

That kinda works...
But it leaves big gaps in my chart, as well as i need to hide and redraw the lines.

What could i do when there are 3 multi-record boxes reporting to the same manager and i want them all aligned in a column?

Thank you for contacting the OrgPlus Support Team.

Unfortunately because of the way OrgPlus currently handles multi-record boxes there really isn't much that can be done to arrange multiple multirecord boxes in a vertical style. The next release of OrgPlus is going to address many of the issues that we have with multi-record boxes, and it should be corrected at that time.

Okay, I can stop trying to figure out how to align them now.

When will the next release of OrgPlus be?

Thanks,

David.

Thank you for contacting the OrgPlus Support Team.

There is currently no official release date, but the time frame the developers are hoping for is within the next few months. I wish I could be more specific, but at this time the date is still up in the air. I have noted that in our system you are scheduled to receive product updates. So when the next release is completed you will be informed via email.
