I tried searching for this, but I didn't see anything that answered this question.
Is there a way to import the file and/or path name for the photos?   I've been able to use Photo manager and import (link and embedded) and verify that they work, but what I have are 800 photos that are named by another team (and are not consistent).  I'd prefer to put in the filename from them and have it import and use that file (as a linked image) instead of copying, renaming, etc.

When I try and link the Photo field to a column in the spreadsheet, it says "incorrect datatype" so that doesn't seem to work.  Changing the Photo field from image to text... well, it does just what it says, and makes it text.

Any ideas?

Follow-up question: Can I define a custom file name format in the Photo Manager?  It only seems to have four options, and none of those match the most common name that is used by our company ("Last Name +  First Initial + Second Initial + Employee ID).

Yes, you can import images using their path in you data set. The most important important thing to remember is to include the complete path to the photo. There is an example excel file which is uses the Photo field in the My Documents\My Charts folder called Excel Import Sample 1.xls. This particular example uses images on a website, but you can use images stored on a network resource or local hard drive as well.

For your other question, unfortunately OrgPlus does not allow for custom name templates.
