Maximize Chart Area
« on: November 14, 2007, 11:29:16 AM »

I'm trying to publish my Org Chart as PDF. I selected "Maximize Chart Area", but the boxes and charts on each page of the PDF are very small...unreadable.

Is that not what the "Maximize Chart Area" option is for? How can I get the chart on each page to either a) remain a consistent size; or b) maximize to fill the page?

The chart layout may be causing this issue.

When you create a chart and add boxes, the chart automatically resizes based on the number of boxes included, and the format (or styles), of the branches.

One way to resize your chart is to change the style of the branches.  You can do this by selecting all the boxes in one branch (either highlight them by dragging a box around the boxes, or holding the

I probably didn't explain my issue well enough...sorry about that. Let me try again:

I am using sub-charting, and when I view my Org Chart from within the Org PLus software, the boxes are legible and reasonably sized for viewing. For example, let's say that one of my sub-charts has 6 boxes: 1 manager and 5 subordinates. The six boxes take up a good portion of the page in the Org Plus Software view. When I publish that org chart to PDF, however, that same sub-chart with the six boxes now appear very tiny. So there's a PDF page with mostly white space and six tiny little unreadable boxes.

The issue isn't that there are too many boxes on the page and so it's shrinking them to make them fit...the issue is that i can have a page with only a few boxes on it, but it's cramming the boxes into a little 1-2" square in the middle of the page, leaving inches of white space all around.
