Unassigned Positions
« on: January 30, 2006, 06:03:17 AM »

Is there an easy way to find and print unassigned positions? I know where to see the data when I initially upload, but I cannpt print this out. Can I move the unassigned to a unique sub-chart?

Thanks, IRA

Dear Ira,

In order to find your unassigned, or "orphaned", positions, you must first create a directory.  To do this, please follow the below instructions:

1. Make sure the the Directory Panel is displayed (go into the View menu and select the Directory option if it is not already checked).  This will display the Directory Panel in the Panel Manager, usually located on the right side of your screen.

2. Go to the Directory Panel tab in the Panel Manager and click on "Click here to create a directory".

3. Name your directory and select, from the available fields section, all the fields that you would like to be displayed by clicking on them, then clicking on the "Add >>" button.

4. Click "OK" to create your directory.

5. Once the directory is created, in the upper right hand corner of the directory panel (to the right of the directory name drop-down menu), is the view selection icon.  Click on this icon and select "Orphans".  This will display all unassigned positions that you have in your chart.  You can also click and drag orphans from the directory directly onto your chart by adding them as a subordinate to one of your boxes.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
