Multiple Script Users
« on: March 01, 2006, 07:15:09 AM »

I have created a MS SQL Server Human Resource database application. I use Org Plus 5 to import the data it needs to create an Org Chart using scipts. The script works for the file creator. The problem occurs when someone other than the file creator tries to run the script. Everyone but the file creator get a "Fail to refresh file" error.

If the new user (non-originator) regenerates the file by manually importing the data, they then become the originator and all other script users get the "Fail to refresh file" error.

It seems to be related to the local user settings within Org Plus. Is there a work around? :-/

Dear wfroehlig,

The script needs to point to OrgPlus on the machine.  If this script is being run by different users on the same machine then it is running into registration issues, and as such cannot refresh.  If the script is being run on different computers by different registered users then you may want to make sure that the paths are correct.

Sincerely,
