Label Formatting
« on: July 26, 2005, 07:04:20 AM »

I am inserting a label called "Salary" next to the Salary field to be shown in each box.  My label and the salary amount have a large space inbetween them and looks like this:  Salary:          $30,000.  How do I make the lable show up next to the field, ie. Salary:$30,000?

One way to insert a label and to insure that it remains closely spaced with the field is to do it through box properties.

1. Open your chart
2. Select the Layout tab
3. Highlight the field in question
4. Check the Show Label box
5. Choose whether to apply this to the entire chart or just this specific box
6. Click OK

This is what I have been doing.  When you insert a label and click on show label it will appear but there is no option to move the label and there is no option to move the displayed information.  I do see that you can justify the text but this does not fix the spacing in the middle of the two fields.  Any other suggestions?

Use menu command Format - Format fields, select Salary field. Then go to Alignment tab and select Horizontal Alignment (left). Do not forget to Apply this to Entire chart.
