INstalltion issues on Windows 2000
«

Hi All,
Having just purchased Orgplus v5 pro I was trying to install it on a Windows 2000 server machine.
It never gets past the agree to licence terms. Next is clicked and nothing happens. I can still navigate back so it hasn't hung.
Anyone else experienced similar issues.
Cheers

OK, thanks for the response.
I've tried using domain administrator and local administrator to no avail.

Jamief,
Thank you for contacting the OrgPlus Support Team.
We are sorry to hear about the problems you are having. Here are soem other suggestions:
1) Make sure you are trying to install the latest version og OrgPlus.
Download Link:
http://www.humanconcepts.com/products/maintenancedownload.htm
2) Before installing go to "c:\Program Files" and delete the folder "OrgPlus 5 Setup"
3) If that still fails try this: Start | Run and type in c:\Program Files\OrgPlus 5 Setup\OrgPlus.msi then click run

Thanks for the reply. I have tried all suggestions, the update displays the same behaviour.
It's definitely an issue with this particular machine. It's just figuring out where to start troubleshooting. Could this be an issue with the windows installer?

Hi Again,
I'm going to be troubleshooting this issue today. What action is trying to complete as part of the install process when clicking the next button after agreeing to the licence agreement. Could we be missing a file or service?
Have you experienced issues like this before?
Hope you can help.

OK,
A few strange things are happening.
1: The installation sits there waiting after clicking next when accepting the licence agreement. It's not hung. You can still navigate back or cancel but it won't go any further forward.
2: If cancel is pressed, I confirm I want to exit setup and click finish. It doesn't seem to be clearing the processes it has started. ie. orgplus5full.exe and msiexec.exe. these continue to run and have to be killed manually.
I'm kind of running out of ideas.
Could you possibly send me Orgplus version 4 and then I can try to install that then follow the upgrade path.

Jamief,
Thank you for contacting the OrgPlus Support Team.
Honestly we have never seen OrgPlus 5 act like that. It really sounds like some sort of local restriction. You re trying to install it to the default directories...on the C drive?
The upgrade path is installing OrgPlus 5.0.

Thanks for all your suggestions guys. We've solved the problem.
The MSI installer was corrupted so nothing was able to be installed properly. Microsoft helped us sort it out.
Thanks again.
