How do I import a hyperlink with a title caption?
« on: March 09, 2005, 03:53:04 AM »

I want to import data that is to be displayed as a hyperlink on the org chart. Let's say I want the title of the hyperlink to be "Employee Profile" and I want the URL for the hyperlink to be "http://mylink.com/profile.html".

How would I accomplish this? What would the data being imported need to look like in order to have the org chart hyperlink come out as described above?

Thanks,
Alan

Alan_Hamby,

Thank you for contacting the OrgPlus Support Team.

What you are asking for is very possible. Please follow these steps:

1) Add a new column in your data and name it.
2) The data for each row needs to be formatted like so: Name:Link for example: google:http://www.google.com
3) Then during the import process you must declare that column of data as being hyper linked.
A. During the second step of the importing process (Data Settings)Select that column of data
B. Then put a check in Hyperlinked
4) Finish importing and you should see everything working fine.

That's a great solution. ;D I needed that as well.

Is there any way of forcing the link to open in the same browser window?

I only ask because it opens a new browser window every time
